How do you know there is a 1 in 15 chance to win a prize?

MSWA has received independent confirmation from Data Analysis Australia that with 135,000 tickets and 9,016 prizes in total, there is a 1 in 15 chance of winning a prize - assuming all tickets are sold. If the MSWA Mega Home Lottery does not sell all 135,000 tickets, then your odds of winning a prize increases.

Note: Every ticket purchased before the Bonus Prize(s) ticket sales close is eligible to win one of the fifteen Bonus Prizes, the Early Bird Prize and the remaining 9,000 prizes (including the Grand Prize). Every ticket purchased before the Early Bird ticket sales close is eligible to win the Early Bird Prize, and one of the remaining 9,000 prizes (including the Grand Prize). Tickets purchased after Early Bird ticket sales close are eligible to win one of the remaining 9,000 prizes (including the Grand Prize).

When will the prize draws take place and in what order do they occur?

BONUS DRAWS - DRAWN DAILY FROM THURSDAY, 16 MARCH TO THURSDAY, 30 MARCH 2017

Only tickets purchased before Midnight, Thursday 9 March 2017 are eligible for the Bonus Prize draws.The Bonus Prizes will be drawn daily from Thursday, 16 March to Thursday, 30 March 2017. The winning tickets for the Bonus Prizes are eligible to win only one Bonus Prize. After each Bonus Prize Draw, the winner is recorded and the ticket number is then excluded from any further Bonus Prize draws. The Bonus Prize winners are eligible to win the Early Bird Prize and one of the remaining 9,000 prizes (including the Grand Prize).

EARLY BIRD DRAW WEDNESDAY, 19 APRIL 2017

Only tickets purchased before Midnight, Thursday, 06 April 2017 are eligible for the Early Bird Prize draw.

If tickets remain after the Early Bird sales close, only the Early Bird Prize draw will be completed on Wednesday, 19 April 2017. The winning ticket for the Early Bird Prize will be re-entered and is eligible to win one of the remaining 9,000 prizes (including the Grand Prize).

If all tickets are sold before Midnight, Thursday 6 April 2017 then all prize draws, except for the Bonus Prizes, will be completed on Wednesday, 19 April 2017. In this case, the Early Bird Prize will be drawn first, the Grand Prize is drawn second, and then the remaining 8,999 prizes will be drawn in order of retail value beginning with prizes of greatest retail value. After each of the remaining 8,999 prize draws, the winner is recorded and the ticket number is then excluded from any further prize draws. The Grand Prize and Early Bird Prize draws may be televised.

If all prizes are drawn on Wednesday, 19 April 2017 then the names of all prize winners will be published and available online at mswalottery.com.au within 24 hours.If tickets remain after the Early Bird sales close, then only the Early Bird Prize winner will be published and available online at mswalottery.com.au within 24 hours.

FINAL DRAW - WEDNESDAY, 17 May 2017 (IF REQUIRED)

Tickets purchased after the Early Bird Prize close and before the Final close at Midnight, 4 May 2017, are eligible to win one of 9,000 prizes (including the Grand Prize).

All 9,000 prizes will be drawn on Wednesday, 17 May 2017. Draws will proceed in order of retail value beginning with the prize of greatest retail value. After each prize draw, the winner is recorded and the ticket number is then excluded from any further prize draws.

If all prizes are drawn on Wednesday, 17 May 2017 then the names of all prize winners will be published and available online at mswalottery.com.au within 24 hours.

Can tickets win multiple prizes?

The only winning tickets that are returned to the draw are the Bonus Prize Winners and the Early Bird Prize Winner. The winning ticket from each of the subsequent draw is excluded from all further prize draws. We believe that this provides greater fairness and allows more people to win prizes in the lottery. This approach is approved by the Department of Racing, Gaming and Liquor.

Where will the prize draws take place?

It is likely that the Early Bird Prize and Grand Prize draws will be held at the Grand Prize Show Home at 3 Levanzo Way, Sorrento. The remaining prize draws, including the Bonus Prizes, will be conducted at 3 Levanzo Way, Sorrento or the MSWA’s office at Level 2, 1133 Albany Highway, Bentley.

How will the prize draws be supervised?

MSWA's auditors, RSM Australia, Chartered Accountants, will independently verify the completeness and fairness of the draws.

How will I know if I have won a prize in the MSWA Mega Home Lottery?

All winners will be notified in writing, shortly after the prize draws have been completed. The winners of the Bonus Prizes, Early Bird Prize and Grand Prize will receive a phone call from MSWA shortly after the prize draws have been completed.

All winners will be published at www.mswalottery.com.au within 24 hours of the draw.

If I win the Grand Prize when will I take ownership of the Grand Prize Show Home?

The house is encumbrance free and will be transferred to the winner by Irdi Settlements. 

The latest date that the winner of the Grand Prize will take possession of their prize is Wednesday, 5 July 2017.

How will I receive my prize?

Winners of the Grand Prize, Early Bird Prize and Bonus Prize will deal directly with MSWA. 

If you win one of the other 8,999 other prizes in the MSWA Mega Home Lottery, you will be sent an official letter or email allowing you to collect your prize from the prize suppliers' retail outlet. Refer to Terms and Conditions.

Please note: We are able to arrange for delivery of prizes, however, the cost of delivery will be charged to the winner.

Are all the prizes in the MSWA Mega Home Lottery donated?

Unfortunately, the prizes are not donated. MSWA negotiates and agrees on a price with each of the prize suppliers. In many cases, a generous discount is offered to support a worthy charity. If your business would like to donate a prize for use and feature in our fundraising programs, please call MSWA on 1300 769 019 or email lotteries@mswa.org.au.

If I order and pay for my tickets when will I receive them via mail?

If you have requested your ticket to be delivered by Australia Post you will receive your tickets in the mail within 10 working days of completing your Official Order Form and making payment.

If I have requested for my tickets to be sent electronically, via the e-ticket option, when will I receive my tickets?

You are able to collect your ticket instantly at the end of your online ticket purchase by clicking "Collect Ticket" on the confirmation page. If you haven’t clicked on the "Collect Ticket" button, you can follow the steps given in your confirmation email, which will be sent to you within 5-20 minutes after your ticket purchase has been confirmed.

Please note: If there is a high volume of traffic on the website, your email confirmation may be delayed so please allow time for this to come through and make sure you check your Spam/Junk folder before calling 1300 769 019 for further assistance.

How do I know my credit card and personal details are secure and private?

MSWA has a Privacy Policy which can be reviewed at the MSWA Mega Home Lottery website at mswalottery.com.au/privacy-policy. All credit card details and transactions are conducted in line with current legislation. MSWA does not sell or share any personal data with any other parties.

How will my ticket purchase appear on my bank statement?

Your purchase will be listed as Multiple Sclerosis Soc Wilson DC AU on your bank or credit card statement – MSWA manages the MSWA Lottery and all ticket billing.

How old do I need to be to purchase a ticket?

You must be 18 years or older, and cannot purchase a ticket under the name of, or for a minor.

Is this a registered lottery program?

Yes. The Lottery Permit issued by the Department of Racing, Gaming & Liquor is LS209120816 and the permit holder is David Bugden, General Manager of Brand, Marketing and Sales at MSWA.

Who conducts and manages the MSWA Mega Home Lottery?

MSWA manages all of its fundraising programs, including the MSWA Mega Home Lottery.

Where do the proceeds from the MSWA Mega Home Lottery go?

The MSWA Mega Home Lottery is conducted by MSWA. All proceeds from the lottery support Western Australians living with multiple sclerosis (MS) and other neurological conditions.

Funds raised from this MSWA Mega Home Lottery will be used to build new facilities in Bunbury and Butler. In addition to these initiatives, MSWA will be able to provide over 630,000 hours of services to people living with MS and other neurological conditions, their families and carers.

MSWA is serious about their commitment to research for MS and other neurological conditions. MSWA Is the leading funder of research in Australia with a record breaking contribution of $2 million. An additional $200,000 has also been allocated to research into other neurological conditions.

Is there any cost or expense associated with winning the Grand Prize Show Home?

No. The Grand Prize Show Home is professionally decorated, completely furnished and the cost of settlement and transfer to the winners is paid by MSWA. 

There is no cost to the winner.

What furniture and fittings are included in the Grand Prize Show Home?

The Grand Prize Show Home has been professionally decorated by Webb & Brown-Neaves. They have also selected all the furniture, fixtures and fittings including white goods (fridge, washing machine, TVs etc.) and decorative art pieces. It has ducted reverse cycle air-conditioning.

If I win the Grand Prize Show Home, when would it be transferred to my name making me the legal owner?

The Grand Prize Show Home will be transferred to the winner by Wednesday, 5 July 2017, at the latest. This would be completed by Irdi Settlement and is compliant with the Department of Racing, Gaming and Liquor regulations.


Early bird cash prize

If I am the winner of the Early Bird draw, when would I receive the prize?

If the Early Bird Prize winner choose the House and Land Package with apg Homes, then apg Homes will award the prize winner with a credit voucher for the sum of $700,000. The Early Bird Prize winner must enter a building contract within 1 year of the issue of the Credit Voucher. Refer to the Terms and Conditions.

If the Early Bird Prize winner decides to take the cash, MSWA will be in regular contact with you to ensure you receive your prize at the earliest possible time.


Holiday prizes

How soon would I need to take the holiday if I won one?

You are required to book and take your trip within 12 months of the prize draws. Winners will need to make arrangements with Amity Travel in Floreat.

What is included with the holiday prizes?

Unless otherwise specified, all holiday prizes include return economy air travel for 2 people, from/to Perth, accommodation and transfers. Travel insurance, travel visas, spending money and passport costs are not included.

Can I change my prize for another destination/package?

All holiday prizes will be awarded as advertised. However, if the winner wishes to negotiate an alternative arrangement with Amity Travel this will be purely between the winner and Amity Travel. MSWA will not enter into this process.


New vehicles

If I win a car, is there any cost to me?

All vehicles awarded as prizes in the MSWA Mega Home Lottery will have all on-road costs paid, including 6 months’ registration. The winner will need to arrange their own motor vehicle insurance.

Can I take a cash alternative rather than the vehicle?

All vehicle prizes will be awarded to the winner as advertised. However, if the winner wishes to negotiate with the dealer on a buyback value, it will be purely between the winner and the dealership. MSWA will not enter into this process.
